Walk Thru the Bible
Teachers: Vickie Isaac
An in depth, chapter by
chapter, verse by verse study of Scripture, moving from Genesis to
Revelation! We will study the Bible in context, with perspective
that includes historical and cultural context, as well as
understanding of the original language. Scripture is living and
active, so we then take each verse and discuss the practical
application to our daily lives. This is a discussion format, and all
input is welcome...we are learning together!

Two Callings From Jesus
-
We are called to BE His disciples: Jesus said, "If you hold to my
teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free." John
8:31,32

We
are called to MAKE disciples: Jesus said, "Therefore go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28 :19
Purpose
Because the call of Christ is two-fold, the purpose of Equip is
two-fold as well:
-
To
provide a learning environment through which we can discover what
it means to be a disciple of Christ, and then become ever maturing
disciples who both seek and serve Him.

To
equip ourselves to fulfill Christ's call to go and make disciples. We recognize that to make disciples, we must first be
disciples.
Equip
Wednesday Nights- Three Registration Tracks:

Year
One provides the
tools to become a more mature disciple of Christ. It will
equip you to:
-
Become
a student of God's Word, apply it to daily life and
strengthen your worship and prayer times.
-
Better
understand who you are ,what you believe, and what
God has called you to do.
-
Successfully
navigate the challenges of life and relationships
through improved life skills including biblical
thinking, decision making, communication, and
conflict resolution.
-
Year
Two provides the tools to fulfill Christ's call to make
disciples, and mature in the calling to love His people
through serving them.
It will quip you to:
-
 Understand
God's specific calling on your life and how to fulfill
that calling.
-
Understand
the call to leadership on the life of the believer,
and the biblical model of leadership.
-
Be
effective in ministering to those in need, mentoring your brothers and sisters in Christ.
-
Recognize
the mandate of evangelism, and learn how to
effectively share the love of Christ with those who do
not know Him.
Year
Three will equip you to:
-
 Fulfill
God's calling of servant leadership.
-
Understand
the biblical model of leadership and practical
applications of leading.
-
Develop
a historical and global concept of the Body of
Christ and the Church today.
-
Increase
understanding of Christian history and faithful,
application of those lessons and traditions.
